Bouquet of Violets – a free crochet pattern
It’s June and most Violets are already faded. But some have maintained until now: the crocheted Bouquet of Violets that my mother got for birthday this year.
The crocheted bunch of violets is inspired by some flowers that I have found in various blogs. I love the idea of small crocheted flowers put on wire, rod or cords. And since my mother likes violets, I have decided to combine these two loves.
Five Violets were created for this bouquet of violets. Each according to the pattern, which is linked below. The stems of the bouquet are made of a short piece of green velvet ribbon with a knot. With this ribbon, they are held together briefly underneath the flowers. A tiny bit of glue is used to attach the flowers to the knots.
This crocheted bouquet of violets is placed in a tiny vase on a shelf, but I can as well imagine it as a brooch or table decoration.
