Lil Quack the Duck mit Knopfaugen - Lil Quack the Duck with button eyes

Gift giving is fun. Giving something crocheted is a double pleasure: the crocheting and the gift giving. Some time ago I have crocheted a stuffed animal. A small crocheted duck named “Lil Quack the Duck”.

The pattern for this cuddly duck is from the book Zoomigurumi and was created by Little Muggles. The book is part of a series by Amigurumipatterns. I do have all three Zoomigurumi Books and the book Amigurumi Animals at work. In these books, there are a lot of patterns from different designers. The animals therein are versatile and I like the well-written and illustrated instructions and the beautiful layout of the books.

My “Lil Quack the Duck” is crocheted according to the given pattern, but I have made two changes. Firstly, I haven’t used safety eyes since the duck is rather decoration than a toy. Secondly I have added a duck rump. The little amigurumi sits now much more stable.

An addition to the crochet pattern: a duck rump

I’m really looking forward to crochet some of the other amigurumi animals from the books.
