A crocheted Hat Scarf and Monster Shoes
It takes time to crochet. Especially crocheting clothes for adults is often complicated and tedious. As beautiful as the results may be, I have no patience. Therefore, I like to crochet small amigurumi, appliques or children’s clothing. Today I want to show you two beautiful short projects: A crocheted Hat Scarf and Monster Shoes.
A crocheted hat changes into a mini scarf. Somehow a funny idea right? I discovered a similar beanie some time ago in the (german) crochet book wolltaire – Häkeln rockt by Marja-Celiné Probst .
There was not much left of the green wool, so I modified the instructions for my purpose and crocheted a hat for a toddler. The border, in the original pattern quite simple, was decorated with a series of picots. And string and pom pom look great in the contrasting yellow color.
Already on the subjects of crocheted clothes for babies and toddlers: shoes are always a good idea. Or precise slippers, after all, one would rather romp on the couch in these pretty crochet shoes than wade in the mud.
These crocheted monster shoes are just great. With double sole, knit look and proven with claws they make every child’s heart beat faster. Who does not want Dino feet?
The pattern can be found in the book Crochet at Play by Kat Goldin. Crocheting the fancy monster shoes was a bit challenging though. The instructions are written understandably, however, I needed several attempts.
How do you like these ideas? What do you love most crocheting for your child?
